When your hair is dry, soak the weft in conditioner for about 30-60 minutes until they feel like you can glide them out (sometimes you have a apply conditioner several times, and massage it into the glue).Removing hair extensions(glued)?
Removing hair glue after removing your hair extensions can be a tricky process. If you've researched it you'll find that everything you have read is true: removing hair glue is not an easy or scientific task. To our knowledge there is no miracle solution. The following is the Eternal Hair glue removal technique which includes both removing hair glue from hair extensions as well as removing hair glue from your hair.

For best result have the following supplies available:

A wide tooth comb for removing tangles

A high wattage flat iron (or straightening iron)

A fine tooth comb

Hair Gloss or Shine Serum

REMOVING GLUE FROM THE HAIR EXTENSIONS

Step I

*After shampooing and conditioning the hair extensions comb out the tangles using a wide tooth comb. Lay the extensions on a towel to let them air dry. Doing this preserves the health, luster and shine by lessening the moisture loss they would suffer from using a hair dryer.

Step II

When the extensions are completely dry: using a very hot flat iron (preferably a ceramic plated one or an ion iron) clamp the iron over the glued area for about 10-15 seconds.

Step III

(optional) If you like your hair silky and straight (sedu hair) apply a small amount of hair gloss throughout the extension then iron the hair extension from top to bottom. Continue ironing the hair until it suits your consistency. For a more detailed tutorial on Straightening Your Hair go to http://www.eternalhair.com/hairstraighte鈥?/a>

Step IV

While the glue is still hot from applying the heat in Step II pick at the glue with either your fingers or small scissors, carefully clipping off the excess glue. Don't be concerned about clipping part of the weft (where the hair is attached) as the hair will not come off the weft (and if it did then you didn't need to do this process in the first place!)

REMOVING HAIR GLUE FROM YOUR HAIR

Step I

You can try using a quality glue remover (which you can get here: (http://www.eternalhair.com/supplies.html鈥?/a>

but it's not really necessary, especially if you've already removed the extensions. Hair glue remover's purpose is to separate the hair extension from your own hair...not to remove the glue from the hair and hair extensions.

Step II

Immediately after towel drying your hair use a wide tooth comb to remove all tangles. It's vital that your hair is wet for this process to work.

Step III

Using a fine tooth comb run the comb from the top of your scalp to the bottom of your neck while applying pressure to ensure the teeth are picking up the glue. When the comb stops (gets tangled) finger pick the ball of glue from your hair. Note: You're going to lose some of your hair with this procedure but very little more than you would lose when detangling it.

*The above techniques for removing hair glue from your hair and your hair extensions is truly the only way to do it. Another technique you can try for removing glue from the hair extensions is to soak them in a mixture of 50% acetone (nail polish remover) and 50% hot water for several minutes. Though this may not completely remove the glue it will help to loosen it before proceeding to Step I.
You can get special stuff from a salon or off ebay that melts away the bonds, we used too use it in my old salon, i have extensions and that's what i have always used, but make sure you condition it well once taken out, as your hair will feel rough.
Go to Sally Beauty and buy the shampoo that removes extension glue.

  1. Firstly, part a section of your hair at the back. Since all you have to do is to part your hair neatly and attach the clip in hair extensions gradually, you may find it really quick and easy.
    Thanks.
